7 Ways to Wellness

Your good health is your most precious posession. The ways to achieve and keep it are:

Remain free of nerve interference by seeing a chiropractor at least monthly wether experiencing symptoms or not. As the nervous system runs all of the other systems of the body, it is among the most important to maintain.

Proper nutrition involves food in the most natural state possible- free of: chemical additives, preservatives, canola and corn oil, hydrogenated fats, hormones, etc. This also means drinking 48 to 64 oz. of water that is free of these and heavy metals. Reverse osmosis is a good way to achieve this.

Getting proper exercise at least 10 min. and preferrably for 30 min. per day. This should be low imapct aerobic or a weight resistance training that does not over-exert your muscles and ligaments. Biking, swimming, gymball workouts and speed walking are great ways to achieve this.

Proper rest of at least 6 hours sleep per day. Resting the mind with daily meditation. Resting the emotions with prayer, an attitude of gratitude, a heart full of love, forgiveness and thankfulness.

Social conectedness with others. People in a committed relationship live longer healthier and happier lives than those who live in a state of isolation. Take time to nurture relationships with others. It is what truly adds joy to live.

Maintain good posture to breathe easier. Change home air and in cabin car air filters frequently. Detoxify the body with fruit juice fasting and anti-oxident supplements. Chiropractic care assists the liver in detoxifying the body and improves posture and balance. Nerve interference robs the body of energy and vitality. Anti-Aging

It's no secret that the North American population is living longer than ever. What Western Medicine has kept secret is that health is the full expression of the body to it's maximum potential, not merly the absence of symptoms of disease. This definition comes from the World Health Organization.

Chiropractic can enhance the health of our aging baby boomers by promoting healthy spines and nervous systems through neuro-muscular balancing, nutrition, massage & exercise. By complementing the adjustment with lifestyle modifications, better nutrition choices including whole food vitamins and exercise.

Upon being accepted for care at Better Health Chiropractic, one recieves a through history and examination. Then they may be given gentle Activator or Palmer adjustments, spinal traction or decompression, homeopathy/ herbal and whole food supplements and an exercise regime. They may also be given physical therapy including deep tissue massage or therapeutic ultrasound. Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine are also offered.

I teach exercises to improve posture which allow one to stand taller and straighter. This allows the organs more room to function. Spinal adjustments also allow better organ function. Having digestion and lung function improvements provide alot more energy and vitality!

Together we set goals and a care plan to achieve them. The program of adjustments and exercise halt the progression of degeneration and scoliosis of the spine. I have radiology reports from Citrus Diagnostic Centers, Seven Rivers Healthcare System and Citrus Memorial Hospital which document the reversal of scoliosis and spinal degeneration after courses of my chiropractic care plan.
